Deja Vu - More Religious Propaganda from Hollywood
Denzel Washington goes back in time through a wormhole to stop a mass murder that happened three days prior… mostly to save a particular girl he has fallen in love with while spying on her through the wormhole.
Yeah, a peeping tom with a wormhole. A little creepy right off the bat.
At first, spying is all they plan to do. They want to catch the killer, not stop him. The government scientists manning the wormhole explain that physics won’t allow him to safely travel through the wormhole to three days past. That’s when Denzel asks the important question, “What if there’s more than physics?”
God discussion ensues. Not the argument you would expect a physicist to engage in… just a little theological banter before submitting to the will of our Lord and Savior.
In the end, God parts time and space for Denzel just as he parted the Red Sea for Moses, and Denzel sacrifices himself in order to save many. Thank you, Jesus. And thank you, Denzel.
Deja Vu, quite possibly, was the single worst movie I’ve seen this decade.
